==Porterfield== ===R4=== [[File:porterf.jpg|1000px|thumb|Porterfield brake pad temperature friction overview]] Carbon kevlar brake pads for the Elise R4 race compound. The R4 is Porterfield's motorsport pad for the Elise.
Purpose(street/track/both): Track
Coefficient of Friction: .5+
Material: Carbon Kevlar
Bed in: "limited bedding procedure"
Dusting: ?
Pad Wear: ?
Rotor Wear: "rotor life extended"
Noise: ?
Max operating Temp: "450F and above"
===R4-1=== Vintage Compound. high friction racing material has grown to be a very popular choice for drivers who need the highest possible friction with a low pad temperature. Developed and tested in the vintage racing community ===R4-S=== Carbon kevlar brake pads for the EliseR4-S high-performance street compound. The R4-S is Porterfield's street-friendly version of their popular race pad.
Purpose(street/track/both): Performance Street*
Coefficient of Friction: .4
Material: Carbon Kevlar
Bed in: "limited bedding procedure"
Dusting: Low
Pad Wear: Good
Rotor Wear: Low
Noise: Little to none
Max operating Temp: 1100 F

*My own experience: These work very well on street AND Track (While it says 'NOT FOR TRACK USE')*. Not much dust or noise. When cold they feel wooden when hard braking, normal daily driving you will not notice this.
At trackday I measured 200C and experienced no fading entire day. After two trackdays the disc (still original) had 1mm rubbed off. When (really) pushed had they can ate my oem discs.
After 5 trackdays rear have ~2mm left. I like these pads. You can really lean on them on track and perform well on public road.
/*Website has changed since I bought these 5 years ago. It used to say it was track&street with street bias. Later it was updated that USA site said 'street use only' and UK site said 'track use only'. Now all sites state street use only. ===R-4E=== Endurance Race.
